Søstrene Grene is a Danish family-owned company founded in 1973. We recently opened our 400th store across 17 countries and have the ambition to reach 500 by 2027. Our stores offer a wide range of home accessories, furniture, kitchen utensils, hobby items, party supplies, gift wrapping, office supplies, children's interiors and toys, as well as seasonal products. New products arrive in stores every week.
As a Warehouse Worker, you are responsible to ensure the efficient and safe handling, storage, and dispatch of goods within the Søstrene Grene warehouse in Venlo, supporting timely delivery to stores and customers while upholding the company’s core values of aesthetics, creativity, and joy of life.
Your role at Søstrene Grene
- Receive, check, and store incoming stock in designated warehouse locations
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for store replenishment and online fulfilment
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely, adhering to all manual handling procedures
- Perform stock control and inventory checks to maintain accurate records
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks and EPT’s (where licensed)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
- Always follow company procedures and health and safety regulations
- Report any damages, discrepancies, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately
You will also be involved in:
- Attend relevant training sessions to enhance skills in warehouse operations and health and safety
- Crosstrain in different warehouse functions to support flexible staffing
- Obtain or maintain a valid forklift license (if applicable)
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to increase warehouse efficiency and service
About you:
- It would be great if you have experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Experience driving an OPT (order pick truck) is strongly preferred
- Structured and able to set priorities effectively
- Physically fit to perform standing and moving tasks
- Forklift certified or willing to obtain certification
- Proficient in English
- Detail-oriented and safety-conscious
- A team player with flexibility (e.g., shift work if needed)
- In terms of personality, you are driven, eager to improve and customer-oriented
- Behavior and personality are based on values such as trust, empathy, integrity, authenticity
- Know how to work with creating and maintaining an organization and corporate culture (SG’s culture)

Practical information:
Starting date: We are looking for candidates who are available at short notice
Location: Venlo (the Netherlands)
Onboarding: An induction & training program of 1 week
Hours: 37 hours (fulltime)
Working hours: This position is primarily focused on the late shift; however, we also have a limited number of openings available on the day shift.
