Senior AI Engineer
Aarhus C, DK, 8000
Would you like to help shape the future of software development in a company where curiosity, collaboration, and innovation go hand in hand?
You'll have the opportunity to lead the development of our B2B platform while exploring new ways of working with AI, together with skilled colleagues across technology and business.
The role
Our B2B platform is built using AI agents, and it has an ambitious roadmap.
You will write less code yourself and spend more time designing how agents build, test, deploy and operate our software – and making sure the result can be maintained. Your technical expertise is put at best used in close collaboration with our commercial counterparts where your knowledge of AI capabilities and system architecture is used to build a scalable platform that can also drive commercial results.
You report to our E-commerce Technology Manager and work closely with our Senior Backend Specialist on back-end architecture. Integrations with SAP and other core systems are owned by our ERP and integration team, who you will also work with closely.
Later, the role extends to leading AI development of other internal applications and/or generally maturing our framework around agent-based development.
What you will do
- Lead development of the B2B platform and set its technical direction with support from the rest of the team
- Design and run our agent-based development process: specs, coding, testing, code review, deployment and operations
- Keep AI-written code maintainable through tests, documentation and monitoring
- Develop the platform's self-healing operations, with clear limits on what agents may do in production
- Work directly with the B2B business on requirements and priorities
- Help the rest of the team adopt AI-driven development
What you bring
- Several years as a software engineer or similar position – including responsibility for a production web application from architecture to operations
- Strong coding skills. We use TypeScript and .NET but these are not required languages
- Hands-on experience setting up AI agents in a development process – not just using the tools yourself
- A clear approach to quality assurance of code you did not write yourself
- Enough API and integration experience to discuss solution designs, e.g. when an ERP system owns the data
- Ability to explain technical decisions to both developers and business stakeholders
- Experience with e-commerce is a plus
