Søstrene Grene is a Danish family-owned company that was founded in 1973 and currently has more than 325 stores in 17 countries. Our stores offer a wide range of home accessories, furniture, kitchen utensils, hobby items, party supplies, gift wrapping, office supplies, children's interiors and toys, as well as seasonal products. New products arrive in stores every week.
In Venlo, the new distribution centre will be opened in September 2025 with which we supply our E-com and Retail. The DC is equipped with the latest technologies and has a size of 45,000 m2, where at least 100 to 250 FTE will be operationally employed. Fully geared to the growth target for the coming years.
Warehouse Worker
As a Warehouse Worker, you are responsible to ensure the efficient and safe handling, storage, and dispatch of goods within the Søstrene Grene warehouse in Venlo, supporting timely delivery to stores and customers while upholding the company’s core values of aesthetics, creativity, and joy of life.
Your role at Søstrene Grene
· Receive, check, and store incoming stock in designated warehouse locations
· Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for store replenishment and online fulfilment
· Load and unload delivery vehicles safely, adhering to all manual handling procedures
· Perform stock control and inventory checks to maintain accurate records
· Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (where licensed)
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
· Always follow company procedures and health and safety regulations
· Report any damages, discrepancies, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately
You will also be involved in:
· Attend relevant training sessions to enhance skills in warehouse operations and health and safety
· Crosstrain in different warehouse functions to support flexible staffing
· Obtain or maintain a valid forklift license (if applicable)
· Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to increase warehouse efficiency and service
About you:
· It would be great if you have any experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
· Structured and able to set priorities effectively
· Physically fit to perform standing and moving tasks
· Forklift certified or willing to obtain certification
· Proficient in Dutch or English
· Detail-oriented and safety-conscious
· A team player with flexibility (e.g., shift work if needed)
· In terms of personality, you are driven, eager to improve and customer-oriented
· Behavior and personality are based on values such as trust, empathy, integrity, authenticity
· Know how to work with creating and maintaining an organization and corporate culture (SG’s culture)

Practical information:
- Starting date: To be agreed (the operation starts as of September 2025)

- Onboarding: An induction & training program of 2 weeks
- Hours: 37 hours (fulltime)
- Working hours: Day shift, during peak season we expect flexibility regarding working in shifts
