Søstrene Grene is a Danish family-owned company that was founded in 1973 and currently has more than 325 stores in 17 countries. Our stores offer a wide range of home accessories, furniture, kitchen utensils, hobby items, party supplies, gift wrapping, office supplies, children's interiors and toys, as well as seasonal products. New products arrive in stores every week.
In Venlo, the new distribution centre will be opened in September 2025 with which we supply our E-com and Retail. The DC is equipped with the latest technologies and has a size of 45,000 m2, where at least 100 to 250 FTE will be operationally employed. Fully geared to the growth target for the coming years.
Warehouse Process Specialist
As a Warehouse Process Specialist, you are responsible for the efficient operation of our systems, primarily Apport, N-shift, and BC, but others may occur. Additionally, you are responsible for ensuring that the systems are updated correctly, tested according to guidelines, and that this is planned in collaboration with the operational managers.
Your role at Søstrene Grene
• Constantly be curious about other systems and solutions to ensure we always have the best system for our operations. This is in collaboration with the Head of E-commerce Fulfilment, Operations Manager, and IT department.
• Drive development tasks in the systems to ensure we always have the right systems and tools we need.
• Follow up on and be responsible for ensuring that tasks placed in the "freshdisk," whether in Apport, N-shift, or internally, are performed by external parties as expected.
• Ensure timely contact and initiation of development tasks, for example, in connection with automation.
• Ensure that employees using the systems are sufficiently trained to perform tasks as expected.
• Responsible for achieving the defined goals for the department, considering employee satisfaction and a good working environment.
• Responsible for the effective daily operations of the department, ensuring that the department completes current tasks according to deadlines - in close collaboration with other department employees.
• Ensure continuous development and professional learning among employees through curiosity and dialogue.
Main Tasks
Apport:
• Responsible for the technical operation and flow throughout the day.
• System maintenance, including order splitting, error allocations, etc.
• Technical support for Warehouse Workers/Assists/Team Leads in case of errors in Apport and other systems.
• Responsible for reporting errors to Apport Support and following up on them.
• Develop and optimize individual processes in Apport in collaboration with others.
• Responsible for being the first participant in Apport development tasks.
• Responsible for our hardware, including ordering and repairing various items.
• Managing individual order groups and having an overview of what needs to be packed when - including advancing order groups, etc.
• Troubleshoot our MSMQ for error messages.
• First contact with the internal IT department in case of server errors, for example.
N-Shift:
• Responsible for ensuring the daily flow runs optimally.
• Maintenance tasks, including changing number series.
• Report error cases to N-Shift Support.
• Responsible for holding information meetings as needed for all employees in collaboration with other management and a weekly meeting with Assists and the management team.
• The Warehouse Process Specialist commits to thinking about development, efficiency, and innovation in solving both own and department tasks.
About you:
• You have HBO level with relevant knowledge in the field Warehouse/Logistics
• You have relevant experience in a similar position, preferably within a warehouse.
• You have IT knowledge and are well known with various WM Systems
• You are strong in keeping an overview, even with many different tasks
• You are a good communicator and know how to enthusiast our users and operational sisters.
• Master both Duch and English on a professional level
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• You have a proactive attitude and can think "out of the box"
• Taking responsibility comes naturally to you; You work carefully and independently
• In terms of personality, you are driven, eager to improve and customer-oriented
