Søstrene Grene is a Danish family-owned company that was founded in 1973 and currently has more than 325 stores in 17 countries. Our stores offer a wide range of home accessories, furniture, kitchen utensils, hobby items, party supplies, gift wrapping, office supplies, children's interiors and toys, as well as seasonal products. New products arrive in stores every week.


In Venlo, the new distribution centre will be opened in September 2025 with which we supply our E-com and Retail. The DC is equipped with the latest technologies and has a size of 45,000 m2, where at least 100 to 250 FTE will be operationally employed. Fully geared to the growth target for the coming years.

 

Team Leader


As a Team Lead, you will ensure effective department operations through good leadership and ensure that employees thrive and develop in accordance with the goals for both the employee, the department, and the company. We have 5x Team lead positions available for the following departments:

· Inbound E-com

· Pick – Pop – Pick E-com

· Manual packing E-com

· Genesys packing & 4D shuttle E-com

· Return & Shipment E-com

Your role at Søstrene Grene

· Responsible for achieving the defined goals for the department, considering employee satisfaction and a good working environment.

· Responsible for the effective daily operations of the department, ensuring that the department completes current tasks according to deadlines - in close collaboration with Assists and other department employees.

· Ensure continuous development and learning among employees through curiosity and dialogue.

· Ensure good collaboration with other employees and leaders in the organization, including AMR, P&C, etc.

· Responsible for the effective execution of daily operations, ensuring that the department and employees function as a dynamic team, where flexibility is encouraged, and well-being is prioritized while maintaining high performance. The Team Lead must be able to make decisions and prioritize various tasks in relation to overall operations.

· Responsible for regularly holding motivational meetings and informing about the daily work plan and daily communication regarding tasks, feedback on key KPIs, and team results.

· Set clear boundaries and goals for employees and demonstrate clarity regarding what is expected of them. Occasionally participating in the operations to benchmark performance.

· Responsible for holding a weekly information meeting for all employees in collaboration with other management and a weekly meeting with Assists and the management team.

· Responsible for daily/weekly planning of work in own department and co-responsible for general planning across the warehouse.

· Manage planning and registration of absence for own employees and Assists, considering overall staffing in the warehouse. Flexibility regarding weekend and holiday work is expected.

· Part of the recruitment process for new employees in own department.

· Hold monthly performance and well-being meetings with each employee and weekly 1:1s with own Assists.

· Ensure continuous development and learning for each employee through curiosity and dialogue, including holding annual strength-based development conversations.

· Hold concern conversations regarding sick leave and complete necessary documentation and declarations in collaboration with the P&C (People & Culture).

· Focus on ensuring KPIs related to employee sick leave are met, as well as preventing sick leave and lack of performance.

· Part of the termination process for own employees.

· As a Team Lead, responsible for ensuring that the warehouse completes current tasks on time in close collaboration with other team leaders.

· Committed to thinking about development, efficiency, and innovation in solving both own and department tasks.

About you:

· You have MBO level with relevant knowledge in the field Warehouse/Logistics

· You have relevant experience in a similar position, preferably within a distribution centre

· You are strong in keeping an overview, even with many different tasks

· Master both Duch and English on a professional level

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

· You have a proactive attitude and can think "out of the box"

· Taking responsibility comes naturally to you; You work carefully and independently

· In terms of personality, you are driven, eager to improve and customer-oriented

· You have a modern leadership/management – Roods in a positive performance culture; Delegate, involve, motivate, present, equality, corporation,

Onboarding: An induction & training program of 4 weeks in Aarhus (Denmark)
