Søstrene Grene is a Danish family-owned company that was founded in 1973 and currently has more than 325 stores in 17 countries. Our stores offer a wide range of home accessories, furniture, kitchen utensils, hobby items, party supplies, gift wrapping, office supplies, children's interiors and toys, as well as seasonal products. New products arrive in stores every week.
In Venlo, the new distribution centre will be opened in September 2025 with which we supply our E-com and Retail. The DC is equipped with the latest technologies and has a size of 45,000 m2, where at least 100 to 250 FTE will be operationally employed. Fully geared to the growth target for the coming years.
Logistics Administrator
As a Logistics Administrator, you will support Søstrene Grene’s logistics operations by ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, accurate documentation, and effective communication with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments. The role is integral in maintaining the flow of goods from suppliers to our distribution centre and onwards to stores across the UK and Europe.
Your role at Søstrene Grene
- Coordinate daily logistics operations, including inbound shipments to Søstrene Grene’s warehouse and outbound deliveries to stores.
- Prepare, manage, and archive all relevant transport and customs documentation.
- Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Update logistics databases and maintain accurate shipment tracking and inventory records.
- Monitor transportation performance and report any issues or delays.
- Support customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support P&C and Team Leads in our Time Registration Program Quinyx
- Resolve logistical issues and respond to queries from internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Assist with regular audits and ensure documentation aligns with Søstrene Grene’s compliance standards.
You will also be involved in:
- Contribute to optimization of packaging, logistics flows and pick/pack processes
- Support automation of tracking, reporting and analytics tools
- Assist in onboarding new logistics software and courier partners
- Analyze trends in shipping, returns and logistics KPIs

About you:
- MBO/HBO-level education in logistics or related field
- Experience in logistics administration or e-commerce fulfilment
- Knowledge of shipping documents and customs is a plus
- Comfortable using ERP/WMS systems and Excel
- Fluent in Dutch and/or English
- Responsible, precise and proactive
- Flexible and stress-resistant during peak moments
- Detail-oriented and safety-conscious
- In terms of personality, you are driven, eager to improve and customer-oriented
- Behavior and personality are based on values such as trust, empathy, integrity, authenticity
- Know how to work with creating and maintaining an organization and corporate culture (SG’s culture)

- Onboarding: An induction & training program of 2 weeks
- Hours: 37 hours (fulltime)
- Working hours: Day shift, during peak season we expect flexibility regarding working hours
