Head of DC Venlo
Venlo, NL
As Head of DC Venlo, you will have the overall responsibility for one of the company’s most important operational hubs. From Venlo, we supply stores across Europe and fulfil online orders for customers every day. Your responsibility is simple to describe, but challenging to execute: ensuring that products arrive at the right place, at the right time, at the right cost.
You will be the senior operational leader at the site and lead the continued development of our distribution centre in Venlo. Through your leadership team, you will be responsible for service, productivity, quality, safety and cost performance across both retail and e-commerce operations. In addition, you will also lead our Facility and HSE function.
45,000 m2 facility filled with Sisterspirit
Our Warehouse is an all-electric building with attention to the carbon footprint, the environment of the area and the well-being of our Sisters working in Venlo.
The DC was build 2025, and became fully operational during recent months. This makes the role both important and exciting, as you will help shape new ways of working.
Your key responsibilities
- Ensure reliable and timely deliveries to stores and online customers
- Lead and develop the operational organisation through your leadership team
- Drive productivity, quality and cost performance through a strong KPI and data-driven approach
- Continuously improve processes, workflows and resource utilisation
- Create alignment across Retail, Supply Chain, E-commerce, IT, QC and other functions
- Secure operational readiness during peak periods and business growth
- Contribute to the long-term development of the DC, including systems, automation and ways of working
What we are looking for
You have experience leading leaders in a larger logistics or distribution environment and understand how to create results through others.
You are comfortable balancing daily operational execution with long-term development. You use data to make decisions, challenge existing ways of working and improve performance. Most importantly, you are a leader who creates clarity, accountability and direction.
You know that excellent logistics is measured by service, productivity and results.
Experience with SAP EWM/WMS is considered an advantage but is not a prerequisite for success in the role.
