Søstrene Grene is a Danish family-owned company that was founded in 1973 and currently has more than 325 stores in 17 countries. Our stores offer a wide range of home accessories, furniture, kitchen utensils, hobby items, party supplies, gift wrapping, office supplies, children's interiors and toys, as well as seasonal products. New products arrive in stores every week.
In Venlo, the new distribution centre will be opened in September 2025 with which we supply our E-com and Retail. The DC is equipped with the latest technologies and has a size of 45,000 m2, where 100 to 250 FTE are operationally employed. Fully geared to the growth target for the coming years.
Facility Coordinator

Your role at Søstrene Grene
In this role you are hands-on and coordinating the maintenance of the company premise, the office and the warehouse. In addition, together with the team, you ensure that every sister (in 2025: 100 sisters with growth in future) of Søstrene Grene has all the facilities at her disposal to be able to perform her work properly. For example, you coordinate housing, technical maintenance, catering, security, cleaning, waste processing, landscaping, furniture, fire and safety, deliveries and reception.
The facility team will consist of about 4 people and will be coordinated by the Facility Coordinator. Together with the team, the Facility Coordinator provides an advisory role to the organization. In this role, you will report to the P&C Manager and work closely with the Operations Managers. From our head office in Denmark, there is a cooperation with our House Manager.
- Coordinating various projects on the above topics
- Focusing on employee well-being and a good working environment
- Supporting and coaching colleagues
- Responsible for the Facilities invoice approval
- Contact for suppliers and service contracts and ensuring correct and professional communication to internal and external customers
- Hold daily morning meetings to ensure motivation and information about the daily work plan and communication about activity level, team/employee performance, etc.
- Conducting monthly performance and well-being reviews with individual employees.
- Initiating improvements and providing ideas
- Order spare parts
- Monthly site-wide equipment checks
- Fire protection and safety regulations
- Coordination across locations - synergy in agreements
- Ownership of tidying up and cleaning (including preparation for pests)
- Planning and follow-up of various maintenance and repair tasks
- Annual cycle of the facility: tasks, service time, interval, service providers, service levels, purchase agreements, etc.
- Inventory rounds (security, fire, injured, cleanup and cleaning)
- Video surveillance & outdoor lighting
- And other incidental tasks that will also be part of the position
About you:
- You have HBO level with relevant knowledge in the field of Facilities
- You have relevant experience in a similar position, preferably within a distribution centre
- You are strong in keeping an overview, even with many different tasks
- Master both Duch and English on a professional level
- You have a proactive and hands-on attitude and can think "out of the box"
- Taking responsibility comes naturally to you; You work carefully and independently
- In terms of personality, you are driven, eager to improve and customer-oriented
- You have a natural coordinator style– Roods in a positive performance culture; Delegate, involve, motivate, present, equality, corporation,
- Behavior and personality are based on values such as trust, empathy, integrity, authenticity
- Know how to work with creating and maintaining an organization and corporate culture (SG’s culture)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Flexible regarding working hours and travel activities
- You are ambitious and driven, with your own vision

An induction & training program of about 2 weeks in Aarhus (Denmark) 37 hours (fulltime)
